Meet Shenikka Jackson

Shenikka Jackson, LPC Intern
Hello! My name is Shenikka Jackson, and I am currently a Mental Health Counseling Intern and will complete my Master’s Degree at Liberty University in May of 2026. I love to meet new people, learn about them, and listen to their stories. My passion comes from a deep desire to help others navigate through tough situations and see someone’s life be transformed in a positive way. I believe God has given me the grace to help others grow.
My undergrad is in elementary education. With this background, I have witnessed the impact struggles can have on children and their families. Observing those around me inspired me to explore the human mind, develop empathy, and gain the skills necessary to support others. I am a big advocate for change. I believe we can all change things that we are not happy with the help of God and others. I seek to help people feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow. This practicum marks an important step in my journey to become a compassionate and effective mental health counselor.
On the weekends, I enjoy ministering at my church and witnessing to others about Jesus outside of church. I also love to spend time vacationing, going to the park, or simply hanging around the house playing games with my husband and 4 children. My family is my motivation and reason. I am passionate about Jesus, transformation, and my family.
